Notary Kite is an on-demand notary marketplace operated by Noah Greenwood in San Antonio, Texas. We connect customers who need notarization services with certified, commissioned notary publics in their area.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when creating an account or submitting a request:

• Full name, email address, and phone number
• Document type and number of signatures needed
• One-time GPS location at the moment you submit a job request (to find nearby notaries)
• For notaries: commission number, expiration date, state, city, service radius, and pricing
• In-app messages between customers and notaries
• Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We never store card numbers.
• Push notification tokens (if you enable notifications)

3. Location Data — Important

Notary Kite requests your GPS location one time when you submit a notary job request. We use this solely to detect your city and match you with nearby certified notaries.

• We do not continuously track your location
• Your precise GPS coordinates are used temporarily and are not stored long-term
• Your city is used to match notaries — not your exact address
• Your exact address is only shared with the specific notary who accepts your job, at the moment of acceptance

4. How We Use Your Information

• To match customers with certified notaries in their city
• To process notary subscription payments via Stripe
• To send job notifications to notaries via email and push notification
• To verify notary commission numbers
• To resolve disputes and ensure platform safety
• To improve the Notary Kite platform

5. Information Sharing

We share your contact information and job details with the notary who accepts your request. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We use the following trusted third-party services:

• Supabase — secure database and authentication
• Stripe — payment processing (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified)
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Firebase (Google) — push notifications for notaries

6. Communication Monitoring

All in-app messages between customers and notaries on the Notary Kite platform are stored and may be reviewed by Notary Kite for safety, quality assurance, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution. By using the platform you consent to this. This is standard practice on all marketplace platforms.

7. Push Notifications

Notaries may opt into push notifications to receive real-time job alerts. Push notification tokens are stored linked to your notary profile. You may disable push notifications at any time through your device settings without affecting your ability to use the app.

8. Data Security

• Your data is stored in Supabase with row-level security
• Passwords are encrypted using industry-standard bcrypt hashing
• Payment card data is handled exclusively by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified)
• We never store raw credit card numbers or banking information

9. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for fraud prevention purposes.

10. Your Rights

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Disable location access at any time in your device settings
• Disable push notifications at any time in your device settings

11. Children's Privacy

Notary Kite is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
